Teaching owners to think canine

You can take the dog from the wolf pack but you can’t take the wolf pack from the dog. 

As Canine Communicators we listen and learn from the modern canine species – (Canis familiaris) -  enabling us to understand their ancient silent language which still remains from their ancestors, the wolves. 

We then teach you, the owners, how to “think canine”, establish leadership of your domestic pack and with a simple and logical method  lead you to a better relationship with your canine companion because you really can understand each other. 

No force, gadgets or violence ever with dogs….

Being kind, calm and consistent are fundamental in our work and  it is distinctly different to any obedience training because we teach you the dogs language and aren’t expecting the dog to learn ours.

So lets imagine life from a dogs point of view, how about I tell you a dog thinks its responsible for us rather than dependant on us?

That you, the owners, are lower subordinates in a pack where your dog sees itself as the all important Alpha leader, top dog?

The dog believes it is down to them to protect and guard you and not vice versa?

This is in fact one of the most common causes of undesired behaviour from our K9 Companions – You, the owner, unknowingly give signals every day to your dog, re-electing them as leader which is a responsibility they simply cant handle.

So how can we help our dogs and ourselves calmly and kindly sooth away this undesired behaviour?

We have to understand, and in a way replicate the behaviour of our dogs, attempt to take charge the same way an Alpha would in the wild.

We want them to elect us as their leader of their own free will……

Not such a daunting challenge as one may think, its just about acting in a certain way and doing certain things at specific times whilst in your dogs company. 

So how do you think that wolf descendant
in your back garden feels?

Its about time we changed our whole perspective on dogs and how we treat them? 

Re-think everything we thought we knew or should know, re assess how we act around them and realise that whilst we might have adjusted to our unfortunate modern world that they, simply, have not - and why have we just assumed that they have?

There is a long list of things we think our dogs shouldn’t or should do but we must remember a dog is a dog, it does not think the same as we do nor abide by our norms of behaviour and they often cant cope with everything we have to face in our confusing world.

This is where we start having complications and our relationship with our beloved pet becomes unbalanced….
These so called issues are symptoms if you like of deeper problems.  Claire will try her very best to help you, as owners with dogs of any age, breed or size to solve any misunderstandings you may have with your pet, be it big or small….
